Automated Candidate Resume Ingestion, Scoring, and CRM Synchronization
The Challenge: A client receiving hundreds of candidate applications per day spent 3+ hours daily manually reading resumes, scoring qualifications, and copy-pasting notes between Zoho Recruit and GoHighLevel.
The Technical Solution: I engineered a fully automated n8n workflow. The trigger listens to inbound application webhooks. An ingestion node downloads the resume attachment, cleans binary buffers, and parses plain text. The text is passed into an OpenAI GPT-4o node with structured JSON formatting enforcing score ranges (0-100), key skills matched, and flags. Downstream nodes branch dynamically: candidates scoring >80 are automatically shortlisted and added to Zoho Recruit and GHL with auto-scheduled interviews, while lower scorers receive automated friendly status notifications.
